In Guernsey you will enjoy a relaxed friendly atmosphere, fantastic scenery and you are never far from a beautiful sandy beach. There are beautiful walks and cycle routes and the commute to work is usually very short. There are many sporting clubs to join in Guernsey such as football, rugby, Gaelic football, netball, hockey, cricket, tennis, softball and cycling. The Clubs are always very keen to welcome new members. There are also plenty of water-sports to participate in such as fishing, windsurfing, sailing, and kayaking. The island is home to two eighteen hole golf courses and one nine hole and a horse race track. Guernsey also enjoys various motor sports with regular races taking place on the sands on Vazon Beach on the west coast.

St Peter Port, Guernsey’s capital is where most of the action takes place. Guernsey has a vibrant nightlife. There are many excellent restaurants, bistros, waterfront bars, funky cocktail bars as well as numerous old fashioned pubs and country inns. There is plenty opportunity to watch live music and there are two summer-time open air concerts.

The small islands are an easy boat trip from Guernsey. Both Sark and Herm is car free and ideal for cycling and walking. The Island of Alderney offers a great choice of friendly pubs, bars and restaurants and is home to the angling festival in October.
